Hi all,

My father is looking to build a C track layout. Are there any C track plan books available in PDF for him to look at? Preferably making use of the newer switches (such as wide radius curved points)?
I have the Marklin 0700 track plan book from another thread which I can convert to C track.

Currently he has his sights set on the below track plan from a Marklin book. Not sure which one, maybe from the 70's?
I think his main desires are uninterrupted dual track with reversing loops and a shunting area. It will be manual digital control with a CS3, not into automation or anything.

I would be converting it to C track using anyrail6 and enlarging it slightly (he has 3.7m x 3.2m space roughly) and maybe other minor adjustments.

However I wonder if there might be better options available for him.

There's a C track version of this layout in my layout thread which, I think, Thomas Huttel drew.

Thomas uses R2/R3 curves in this version.

I have recently replaced my M track with C track, everything went together quite well pretty much in the same places as before.

The layout is in the Marklin 1971 catalog - see my thread for details.

Märklin have lots of track plans published here as PDFs:

https://www.maerklin.de/...ne-und-maerklin-freunde/

which always include C track versions. It's a bit of work to download and look through them all, but there are some real gems in there.

For a quick start take these plans from the start-up line from Maerklin found at FAQs for H0 gauge.

https://www.maerklin.de/...uestions-about-h0-gauge/

open the second question from the bottem and find the link to a "Track Plan Brochure". Advantage: the brochure is written in 4 different languages.
