Hi all,

My father is looking to build a C track layout. Are there any C track plan books available in PDF for him to look at? Preferably making use of the newer switches (such as wide radius curved points)?
I have the Marklin 0700 track plan book from another thread which I can convert to C track.

Currently he has his sights set on the below track plan from a Marklin book. Not sure which one, maybe from the 70's?
I think his main desires are uninterrupted dual track with reversing loops and a shunting area. It will be manual digital control with a CS3, not into automation or anything.

I would be converting it to C track using anyrail6 and enlarging it slightly (he has 3.7m x 3.2m space roughly) and maybe other minor adjustments.

However I wonder if there might be better options available for him.

There's a C track version of this layout in my layout thread which, I think, Thomas Huttel drew.

Thomas uses R2/R3 curves in this version.

I have recently replaced my M track with C track, everything went together quite well pretty much in the same places as before.

The layout is in the Marklin 1971 catalog - see my thread for details.

Märklin have lots of track plans published here as PDFs:

https://www.maerklin.de/...ne-und-maerklin-freunde/

which always include C track versions. It's a bit of work to download and look through them all, but there are some real gems in there.

For a quick start take these plans from the start-up line from Maerklin found at FAQs for H0 gauge.

https://www.maerklin.de/...uestions-about-h0-gauge/

open the second question from the bottem and find the link to a "Track Plan Brochure". Advantage: the brochure is written in 4 different languages.

Very nice project, have you managed to create the layout?
An outsider.
I'm looking for the owner of that horse. He's tall, blonde, he smokes a cigar, and he's a pig!

Hi. This page seems to have been moved - I get a 404 error. Would anyone have a more recent link? Thanks

Hello,

There is a layout with 325x260cm U shaped that doesn't use wide radius turnouts. It is called Ludwigsthal and is presented in page 36 of "The Track plan Book" by Klaus Eckert, item No. 07451.
It maybe worth give a look as it fits in the available space, and of course can be a bit expanded.

Regards,
Miguel

For illustration, I attach a Dutch modeler's track plan of "Ludwigsthal". Please note that he adjusted the dimensions of the table to 360x300x330 cm (originally 325x260x295 cm) to have more space in the middle (80 cm instead of 40 cm).

Looks like they've broken something, but you can find them here:
