I have the King Ludwig starter set and found that there are no instructions for most of the items, so I am asking for help on a couple of electricity matters. I have managed to set up a loop of track with a passing loop. However the yellow and blue cables to the turnouts are now stretched tight; there is a bigger supply of both cables but how is the joining done as there seem to be no fittings for this? Also when I buy more cable does it have to be more by Marklin?
Also I wanted to have one train in the side loop while the other moved; is it an Isolating track section that I have fit for this please? I see from the listings that there is also track with a Train Activation Circuit; what does this do ?
Is there a guide book which explains all this?

Have an isolated track section would certainly achieve what you want. To extend your cables you would use a 72720 stellpult. Install pluds on the ends of the wires from the switches, and on one end of the extra wire. Plug it up to the stellpult and the other end of the extra wire to the transformer.

And you can use any wire, make sure it is at least the same thickness.

You can buy plastic railjoiners 8954 to make your own isolated section.

Thank you both for your advice which I am now able to put into practice. Nice to know where to come to!
