Hi all,

I have found on a number of occasions that the circumference of the permanent magnet is too tight for the rotor to rotate smoothly.
Hence I have resorted to widening the magnet circumference for the rotor tolerance by using a rotating dremel tool and shaving about 0.5mm off the magnet.

The motor has much smoother running characteristics once the tolerance has been increased and the rotor doesn't touch the magnet.

Has anybody else had the same issue and also widened the gap ?

Brave man!

Are you using an old 3-pole DCM anchor in a 6090x permanent magnet? The 5-pole anchors for those magnets have slightly smaller diameter.
