hi!
Have now bought a Viessmann three wing wingsignal 4502, works ok analog.
With my CS, not so !
I have followed the Viessmann manual for the wiring. Light in the signal.
I have chosen a dip switch position, which indicates 4 consecutive addresses, for instance
9-12.
In the CS I have created a signal symbol, and given it the address 9. When I confirm
I notice it uses 9 and 10. Ok, since it is a three way signal.
However NOTHING happens when I try to operate the signal...as if I have misunderstood
how to make the CS see the 5211.
Have anyone an idea of what I am doing wrong?

What do you connect to E on 5211? Try red-digital from CS first to isolate the problem. Then you could have an external transformer, provided it shares ground.
Abother possibility is that you have wrong dip-switch setting. If there are settings inside the CS that could prevent the signal from getting through, I don't know.

I also have 2 4502s in combination with 5211s.
What I can think of to check:

- Is the 'E' bus properly connected?
- You didnt switch the 2 yellow wires?
- Try a normal (switch, simple signal) elektromagnetic device in combination with the 5211 first, or check with a voltmeter.
- If all before is good, play with the order of the 3 blue wires (green, red, yellow marked) connected to the 5211 and see whether that solves it. (I had to do this)

Bert

Edit: Lars you were first :), and ofcourse you have to verify the address.

Please quote the software version of the CS (we are expecting a fix in this area).

Notwithstanding the fact that you are not getting ANY response and as suggested the addressing needs to be correct, I personally think that the accessory operation of the CS has yet to be implemented correctly. (We are also expecting route control and memory functions)

I would best equate the operation to a representation of the old 72xx blue box. It was not posible to change from any aspect to any other with a single button. When you set up a 3 or 4 aspect signal in the CS the first 2 icons equate to one address on/off (in your case 9) and the 3rd/4th to the second address (10).

Note the closest the (my) CS gets to route control (issueing 2 commands consecutively) is the 3 way turnout. BUT there is an acknowledged bug and this only works one way. i.e. to change from left branch to right branch you have to press the button twice.
