Things like logs, crates, cable drums, sawn wood, etc. can come in different sizes and does not look out of scale. I particularly like the goods loads which are covered with a tarpaulin, and I use them a lot. Sawn timber load: Logs: An assortment of skaledale goods waiting to be loaded: If you really must have HO I recommend the wagon loads made by Faller and Noch.
		Ray Mostly Marklin.Selection of different eras and European railways Small C track layout, control by MS2, 100+ trains but run 4-5 at a time.

Joined: 07/01/2015(UTC) Posts: 704 Location: England, Suffolk		thank you guys. I went to the German website, interesting things. Skaledale is interesting as well. I have a few flat cars and gondolas. On the flat cars I have laid a few layers of wooden beams found at B&Q as flower poles. I don't know if they need tying even though it seems the most logical thing to do. In one gondola I have made a coal load using real coal, when I could find it How would it be possible to make 'cable drums' at home ?

A bit of dowel for the centre and some scale planking for the end 'wheels' ? If you really want to make it look more authentic if using them as empty cable drums then also glue some planking on the dowel.
