My CS3 plus is updated to version 1.3.3 and regularly when using the system just stalls or even get black to the level of the Linux OS: blinking at the prompt.
The only way I found till now is to switch off and on the system to get it work again.
Am I alone or are there some other users experiencing the same?

Thanks,
Jean

Hi Jean.
Please tell us more about situations when this problem occurs. Do yo have booster, L88 or other "clever" devices connected to your layout.
Is there any loco running every time when you see the problem etc.etc.

I have had only one "problem" after latest update:

Sometimes when I want to shut down my CS3Plus ( in normal way using system screen) it starts to shutting process but remains back to normal running state and I have to shut it down again from screen.

But over all now CS3Plus is very reliable, very good device ( IMHO)

Regards

Jukka

Hi Jean

Have you tried to reconnect to Marklin for possible s/w corrections?
What is your CS3 power source (60061? other?)
Have you tried to have the CS3 and its power alone (step by step connecting back components until the problem re-occurs)?

I am using a CS2 and not CS3 but I bumped recently on a problem created by 2 power supplies being too close together (a 60101 and a PC power supply). It created functioning problems to my Link88 (all was working except all sensors were reporting free even when they were not). It look like an unwanted coupling between the power supplies (electromagnetic or similar).
Bonne chance

Jean

Hello Jean,

may be you read here too

https://www.marklin-user...-the-CS3--PROBLEM-SOLVED

I think, it answers your question, but does not solve your problem.
So please come back, if it still exists. I struggle with my CS 3+ sometimes too. Sometimes I write to Märklin for help, sometimes I find my error by using "trial and error" method, sometimes I read the solution in various books, communities and/or articles/threads and sometimes the problem solves themself like a miracle (not a joke - it happened but I do not know why).

Regards

Wolfgang

I have a CS3 Plus with 3 parts of the circuit separated by each a booster and power supply 60061 and am starting to install also some M83 decoders.
After my first quote I've been busy and no more failure.

Hi Jean and others too.

Please read this thread(topic):

https://www.marklin-user...h-CS3Plus-Track-Protocol

Märklin Track protocol is quite complex and if you have oscilloscope you can study how it works in normal usage.

Many of you use 670125 or 60145, they are similar and very simple. I don't know why my old 60125 was not ok but from that topic
you can read how it can be repaired .

Regards

Jukka
