I am using the M84 to control the hobby signal and I know that the CV38 can be changed to control the brightness of the signal. I have configured the M84 in MFX mode under my CS2, and it would only display the first 6 CV under that mode (it could not show all the CV under MM or MFX mode). If I want to change the CV38, I know that the M84 must be set to DCC mode. Since my M84 is currently in MFX mode, how do I change it to DCC mode ? Do I need to set it up again as a new device in DCC mode in the CS2 so that I can change the CV38? If it need to set up again as DCC mode, should I use a new address for the M84 so that it would not conflict to its current address setting in the CS2? What should be the steps to achieve that purpose to access to CV38?

First have a look inside the manual:

https://www.ajckids.com/...arklin/60841_betrieb.pdf

This is in English too. Another source is this article:

https://www.maerklin.de/...3_Digital_MM_2014_02.pdf

translator software: https://www.deepl.com/translator

Just for your information:

For your convenience I translated with the deepl translator the following passage from page 28 of the Maerklin Magazine 02-2014, but it is the third episode of these article series.
...
"How to program effects

All 5 articles episodes about the new decoders m83 and m84 you find here (sorry all in German only)

https://www.maerklin.de/...men-specials-und-serien/

Note:
Meanwhile I was informed that you cannot achieve this side via the English homepage of Maerklin. You first must switch to the German homepage version to go there.
