My 410 (7186) is working perfectly well, stops at each track and the indexing pin engages properly. I can run a locomotive up onto the bridge from the layout, reverse it etc. and run it off again. However, if I move the bridge to a different track slot there is no power in the rails and I cannot move the locomotive. Moving the bridge back to the layout slot I can move the locomotive off into the layout. I have taken the bridge off and cleaned all contacts and oiled the moving parts in the motor.

Any suggestions for what to look for to get the loco to complete the trip from layout to yard and vice versa?

Hi,

The 7186 does not cut the rails from the power-supply when turning. It must be a contact-issue of the contacts in the center of the turntable. Try to turn a wagon with interior light and look what happens and when the lights turn off or flicker.

Regards

Markus

Thanks for that. I eventually found the problem, the turntable must be connected to one of the four tracks as shown in the attached diagram.

I found it online, the booklet that came with my 410 did not show this.
