Hi everyone.
Marklin produced an unexpensive digital set for retrofiting our old locomotives. The new 60760. In Portugal we can have this set for about half the price of the 60901. I have bought 2 of this sets and now begins my problems. To know where to aply this set.
Once again Marklin doesn't produce enough information about this product. I couldn't find any list of locomotives that can be retrofited with this decoder or even other complementary information.
If anyone has more information please let us know.

The motor parts of that set fit in all locos where the 60901 fits, since they're the same parts.

Luis

Okay - I am in the middle of converting an old Delta with one of these things.. Why are the two resistors included? There is no mention in the manual that I can see?

The two resistors actually are two inductors of about 3,9uH and they should go directly connected to the brushes.
Also, a couple 1nF capacitors should be connected between each one of the brushes and ground if you see some erratic behaviour of the decoder.
These instructions came with the old 6090 decoders and are still valid for these new units.

Thanks Jorge..

So the wiring is:

Blue wire -> inductor -> plate on the motor like in the image below?

Found a link with the answer to confirm Jorge's statement..

See http://www.pallund.dk/retrofitting.htm

specifically -> http://www.pallund.dk/MA...sion/finished_motor3.jpg

Why don't the instructions make it clearer?? [:(!]

Looks good, Adrian.
Now you have some few parameters to adjust: address (CV1 in DCC decoders), initial speed (CV2) and inertia (CV3&4 together). I don't remember any other value to be adjusted. (I've installed only one of them so far, my decoders are all DCC controlled with an Intellibox).

Hi Adrian, Luis V,
Would you make some comments on the behavior of this decoder?
Is there a large inertia, as with 6090x marklin decoders, or is it more or less like the behavior of LP V2 (sensible steps in acceleration, no progressive start after a stop at signal (track not feeded)...
In the first case, it's a real bargain and I will consider it for my next loco conversion!
Thanks
Fred

Sorry guys, I missed your questions - sometimes the Active Topic thing plays up..

I have not had a chance to fiddle with the CV settings, but I believe that it runs as well as the 37xxx high efficency series of locos... The only disclaimer is that at 7% speed (using IB) it is not smooth like C-sine...

You need to know that the there is no option for F1-F3 on this chip, but there is a way to set the F4 deceleration/acceleration delay...

I am looking for a second one to convert now...

Overall I am very happy.. Be quick - my dealer tells me that there are no more in Germany...

Physically there is a f1 + f3 possibility, but they are neither specified nor supported. You'd need to cut the protection tube too which results in an immediate loss of any warranty.

Hello,

I found this webpage while installing my decoder, it shows how to activate functions.

Hi Thomas,

this info/page exists already since some time. The (almost) same decoder
as with 60760 is also used in other new Märklin models, for example the new V100 Fire-defense set loco (#29755) where the powered auxiliary function (f1) is used to control the blinking light on the loco roof.

Regards,
Lutz
