How to load Piko decoders onto your Marklin mobile station 2

Hi is their any special way of loading a Piko hobby range loco onto your Marklin mobile station 2. I has an address of 3. Do I load in address 03 0r 003 0r just 3  please explain Piko AC owners please. the loco I have, I have talked about on this thread. - https://www.marklin-user...n-MFX-sound-decoder-helpthanks Dan |

Hi Dan,
Where are you trying to enter the address?
What I do is that I enter "New Loco" in the menu, select "enter manually", then select "MM2 programmable", then on the "address" screen I click on + until I get to the right address, in this case "3".
Is there another way? |

Mostly Marklin.Selection of different eras and European railways Small C track layout, control by MS2, 100+ trains but run 4-5 at a time.

I would use DCC (not MM programmable) for all locos that support DCC. With DCC you get more speed steps and more functions (makes no difference for your soundless loco). |

There's no need for any new decoder at all. I may get a DCC stay alive decoder, I'm not sure. But it runs through double slips and curve points without any problems.  |
