Hi Dan,

Where are you trying to enter the address?

What I do is that I enter "New Loco" in the menu, select "enter manually", then select "MM2 programmable", then on the "address" screen I click on + until I get to the right address, in this case "3".

Is there another way?

This is on the MS2. Sorry I should have made it clear.

Unfortunately I don't own a CS2 or 3 (yet) BigGrin

With MS2 there are no leading zeroes. It is just 3.
I would use DCC (not MM programmable) for all locos that support DCC.
With DCC you get more speed steps and more functions (makes no difference for your soundless loco).

When you create a new loco, just scroll down on the screen that shows "MM programmable".
You cannot change this for loco entries you already created.

Hi, thanks for the info, again. I have loaded it on to the ms2 and it it runs great. Nice smooth speed steps. There's no need for any new decoder at all. I may get a DCC stay alive decoder, I'm not sure. But it runs through double slips and curve points without any problems.
