Dear Märklin Friends,

I need your help. I tried today to connect my CS1 with my PC. I'm having now Windows 10 and so I suppose the troubles depending on that. I have too a router now (KRAUN Adsl). Anyway, when I check my settings for the IP address in the Tools I find the IPv4 address and then set it on the CS1 with the Gateway IPv4 address too. But when I restart my CS1, I can't see the Setup Page on my browser, The red light on the CS1 is red, as in the Instructions.
Has had anyone the same trouble? Any suggestions, pelase?

Best regards

Hi Stefano,

You may have not compatible IP addresses between the PC /router and CS.

Try to see here https://www.marklin-user...ps-and-tricks#post456312
and next post (#6) to see if the IPs are in the same subnet.

An other tip: From your PC, open a dos/shell console and enter "ping <IP_address_of_the_cs>". If you get reply then it's ok.

Cheers
Fabrice

Hi Fabrice,

Thank you so much for the help. I checked it again and now it works. I suppose I've been misunderstanding about the IP address to put on my CS1, but anyway the Instructions by Märklin are quite clear...BigGrin BigGrin
I needed that for saving a backup of the system. It is like mcs_backup.mcs ?
Am I right?
Best regards and thank you again
Stefano

Routers typically have DHCP servers built in, to facilitate the NAT system one typically uses in a home network.

Hi, Minok,

If I look at the properties of my Internet connection it tells that the DHCP is not available.

Best regards
