I received my 29000 starter set on Thursday. I promptly set up the oval track on the carpet and set my BR 45 for the test run. Now I know how Dr. Frankenstein felt when his creation came alive! This is my first personal encounter with digital and C track. My present layout is M track and analog. I will stay with M track but if I had to do it over again I would use C track as it so easy to put together, precise fitting and quiet. The instruction booklet is not too clear to me but I will go to Tom's Hobby in Milwaukee Wisconsin and perhaps he can give me some guidance. Certainly I would recommend this set as a beginning into the digital world. After I completed my layout I thought I would never start another one but I am having second thoughts in order to take advantage of the digital system. I brought this set from ajckids and so far I can recommend them as a dealer. I have a warranty issue as the red wire from the connector box has a small bare spot, which I can easily fix, but Marklin should take care of this and I am curious how ajckids will handle the problem . Another example of their quality control which I have been reading about. Fred

Glad you like your first experience of digital and C-track, Fred!

When I got my first digital set I had similar feelings, and before long I made the decision to rip up all the M-track on my layout and replace it with C-track.

Enjoy!

Small C track layout, control by MS2, 100+ trains but run 4-5 at a time.
