Should I make a thumb drive back up for my main Cs2 and also my slave CS2 for can the main CS2 be used for both?

You can backup the one CS2 and restore the backup on the other. It might be a good idea to have the same configuration on both CS2's, I guess it depends on what you want with your setup.

I have several backups with different configurations that I use from time to time. E.g. I have my exhibition layout on a backup, so I can restore it whenever I go to exhibitions. When the exhibition layout is packed up in storage, I have a "clean CS2" backup that I use as a sort of "custom factory reset". That way I can "reset" the CS2 when I come home, and use the CS2 for other stuff in the time between exhibitions.

I also use the clean backup to help others that have messed something up. It is much easier.

When you buy an new CS2,there is no need to reset CS2 before to start.
CS2 are factory prepare to start.
Right?
