OFf topic. We have stopped using our fire about 3 weeks ago. we only need it for about 6-8 weeks.
We are looking forward to the visit from an escapee from the cold.

Some time ago like January for my birthday I obtained a HAG TEE loco. was supposed to be a set with 3 carriages. I had to buy then separately. turned out the carriages
were fleischmann. when they arrived one had a broken Bogie Attachment. The replacement arrived about 3 weeks ago. The I realised I had not put up the photos. Lights and Passengers fitted.
My photographic skills have not improved.

Here they are. first is the loco I know.

Palle,
Yes Fleischmann Wagons. P/N 5661, 5662 & 5663.
Look good and have a nice close Coupling. Using Viessmann 2 Pole CCC, Bogie attachment is a bit fragile.

I thought I recognized them ... and you did mention the F-word in the post ..
I have the complete Konsul set (10 cars), but quite a few of them couldn't take the curves with M's CCs (CC hitting the buffers), so I left the Fleischmann couplers in place except for the front car attaching to the loko. On that car I shaved a wee bit of the buffers to avoid problems. But then I don't have lights installed ...

Just taken delivery of one of the last of the 4256 Silberlinge - I'll be after a set of the new 1:93 length ones when they come out but I already have another 4256 and 4257, so when I saw that Amazon Germany had them cheaply I snapped one up.

Nice selection of coaches.
Do you mix 24cm and 27cm coaches within the same train? I've done it sometimes, but I prefer them all to be the same length.

I've now converted this Liliput restaurant car to true close coupling, so thought a photo would be welcome:
As delivered, they have the mechanism but the pockets are mounted too far forward, as are the buffers. The result is that the buffers touch, but there's a huge gap between the coach ends. I solved this by clipping roughly half of the coupler pocket off and modifying the buffers - these were removed, the fixed part was shortened, and the head glued back in to make them flush with the gangways. Once that's done they are a very presentable model, especially as I paid about half RRP for this one during the great Liliput sale a while ago.
Those with the 43850/60/70/80 Rheingold set should take a look at the Trix range - 23410 and 23411 are identical to the Marklin coaches apart from having DC wheelsets and different running numbers, so you can add them to your Marklin set to form a six coach train with no duplicates. They use exactly the same tooling and paint colours.

I'm still working out what to do with this one - I'm inclined to add passengers and lighting, but it looks a bit odd with Marklin stock due to being 1:87 scale length and slightly lower riding, so I'm holding fire on that until I work out what to run it with.
It came as a job lot with an SBB RIC 1st, which is unfortunately bent. Bachmann had this problem with some British models too, it turned out they were being removed from the moulds too soon. Doesn't excuse them making it out of the factory though.

Tony,
You should try and get the Brawa post/2nd class thunderbox to go with the train.
It is an outstanding looking wagon.

What a great idea by John. I wasn't aware of a postwagon for these thunderboxes. I was allready thinking about getting additional wagons to this 29840 set. Now I know which one it is going to be...
Tony there are at least these two models for era III DB: 45751 and 45759
I like those red coaches too. They have close couplers?

Perhaps I can also present you my coaches:
29010 passenger cars set (43940 and 43950 are on the way to accommodate these)
29840 thunderboxes
I also have older tinplatecars in various conditions
model#, amount
4022, 4
4023, 3
4024, 1
4026, 4
4027, 3
4037, 3
4064, 2
4077, 1
4078, 1
I have 6 24cm tinplate TEE wagons but they are all pretty much in terrible shape, I think they will never run.
So all in all i have about 30 coaches.
Cheers, Jussi

The expansion set for my Senator arrived yesterday! We were away last night so I opened it immediately when I got home today. It really "makes" the train. It is certainly way too short in it's base configuration.

and here it is in my station:

42755 CIWL ARRIVE TODAY ! Number is 96
Nice, but the printing on the baggage cars leaves something to be desired.Lettering is faded and does not match the wooden paneling, not very appealing.
It does look very nice hooked up to the 39021.
Not as nice as the 2681 Kaiser set, but very nice.

I got three Era II coaches to go with my Br18.1. They are 43201, 43211, 43221.
Here's a couple of pictures with my Br18.1 pulling them.
