They are okay for very large transactions, but disproportionate for smaller ones.. Problem is that it is the really large transactions where you need the credit card protection that the banks don't provide with inter-bank transfers..

I have three of these 346/1s and their original boxes. I also have one of these 364/4s that I'm still trying to identify the markings. I'm a passive collector of all things model railroading rather than Marklin specific, purchasing junkers and restoring them or, in the case of these cars, playing interceptor before they were tossed in a dumpster. Marklin, Athearn, and Rivarossi all share my attention, Marklin being the Mercedes Benz in my garage next to my Fords and Chevrolets.

Maybe not a correct train, but I think it looks quite good. The 4101 has a 60960 decoder and a small monostable relay to supply the cars with current for interior light.

I got a 42993 set from my wife as a late birthday present. Now my DB Südwind is soon complete, with 39579 E103, 42972 bar, 42973 restaurant and now the 42993 set. Refer to and old topic about when the pantograph on restaurant cars are in operation.
