Setting CV Addressesfor running locos with sound functions using 6021 controller

Hi all, I wonder whether someone has the solution to my question : I have recently installed 60945 mSD decoders (Marklin Sound Decoder for Steam Locos) into some of my steam locomotives. The mSD decoder has 15 functions. I have a Marklin 6021 controller. The 6021 has 4 function buttons plus the Lights function. I have read that you can set the CV Addresses for CV 50 and 49 to turn off the mfx and DCC protocols, and then you can have 4 consecutive addresses on the loco, so that the 6021 can access all 15 of the available functions, providing you with the full range of sound and other functions. However, the 6021 seems to ignore the CV settings, and reverts back to what it thinks is best, actually with one main address and one consecutive address, providing me with 8 functions only. Has anybody managed to set the CV addresses in order to use all available functions from a 6021 controller using 4 consecutive addresses ? I would be grateful if you could tell me what you have programmed for CV Addresses 50 and 49 ? For info, I am using a CS1 with programming track to program the CV Addresses, then put the loco back on the layout which uses the 6021 controller. Regards, John

Hi, John,
Here's what worked for me: Set CV 49 to 7. Use CV 1 for first address. Use CV 75 for secdond address. Use CV 17 for third address. Use CV 18 for fourth address.
No need to change CV 50.
Consecutive addresses (CV 49 set to 3) didn't work for me. You can set consecutive addresses using those 4 registers to get the same effect. |

Hi
Can anybody help me on how to use the 6021 to program CV settings on my decoders?
I want to learn how to reset my decoders (6089& 60975) and of course it would be great to know how to access more functions on my decoders.
Thanks
Ton
