I believe so or they used to, I am mainly posting because C track un-couplers aren't digital, unless there is a new model I am not aware of, they do not include a decoder within the track.

I thought they could be digitized. Don't feel too bad, I could be the one way off base. Good to know though.

Thank you.

Uncoupler tracks can be made to work in digital using a K83 module (6083/60830)

Using it in this way the lamp tower will light for a short duration when the digital controller commands that address.

The K83 decoder will control up to four dual solenoid devices such as turnouts or signals. or up to eight single solenoid devices such as uncoupler tracks.

Small C track layout, control by MS2, 100+ trains but run 4-5 at a time.

Yes, "could be" being the keywordsWoot , that applies as well to the 1950's un-couplers. As Ray pointed out you do need to add an external decoder.

I did some checking and it seems the light mast is the same one they've been making forever. Current catalogue number is 74997 and they seem to be using an old graphic that looks the same as in 1950's catalogues, they haven't bother even taking a new photo. I would say it won't last much longer since the light part is huge when thinking for HO scale.

My two cents.

Adjust the time (increase maybe to the higher possible) of the signal that CS2 sends to the uncoupler. This will make the lamp stays on for a more realistic way.

Cheers,
