Joined: 05/09/2013(UTC) Posts: 2 Location: kempston		According to the 3748/3448 booklet, this loco can be run on conventional analogue system as well as digital. The problem is there is no clue in the booklet how to set the loco digital control switch for conventional running. I have tried it with a 6629 controller, having set the panto/track button to track, but no go, not even the lights come on. Have I missed something fundamental here. There are 80 different addresses, but address 70 is highlighted for some reason. I have tried this ,but still doesn't work. Any advice please?

With most locos, the 6090 has automatic system detection, so loco should automatically work in analogue mode no matter which digital address was set. Some 6090 require all DIP switches to be off for analogue operation. IIRC lights will be off while running in analogue mode. Does it run in digital mode? Maybe there is a general problem (hardened oil, locked gear).
