Nice picture Yao-cheng. I too wouldn't mind a 1 Gauge Crocodile. A bit too expensive though, although I have seen them on the US ebay site for under $1000 USD.

One can see funny Crocs, nowadays. Pretend to be of NYC origin ... [xx(]
FYI - some Manhattan dealer in the 1930s ordered an very personal 0-gauge Croco.
Guy had kinda funny taste, and wanted his loco have painted white ...
However, just because some clown a century back loved white colored locos -
ol' me surely won't fall into ecstacy and fork over a 1,500 bucks
Since for a few dollars more I can get M's brand new superstar. In BIG gauge ...
* * *
Well friends, seriously - that's how a #3015 should look like [:p][:p][:p]

John, I think there was a 'Snow Croc' as well a few years back. That was white!
And there was a plantinum Croc as well, the Marklin Millennium Crocodile.

Right, Panayoti - it was a long time, indeed
[}:)]. But now there are new beasts on the rise ...
The brand new set of classic HO Gators #37225. Though
sans
whistle they are just beauties [:p][:p][:p]
*** left side: E194 in chrom-oxyde green *** right side: E94 in bottle green ***
And as a very first in M's history of post-war HO Gators: this E194 got a black roof ...
And for those lucky with BIG SCALE here comes M's latest flagship #55563 - a true superstar
Only drawback: at
€2,000 !!!
they should make her shells from real tinplate [^]. Not plastic ... [:0][xx(]

You're so right, Kimball - it is one wonderful set of locos, and the price is just fair.
Me too will get it, of course. It is a must ...
And then there's also that nice E1020 (#37226) - with whistle [:p]
I'm very undecided since budget's getting tight, already ... [xx(]

Hi
Has anyone found a reference to that NYC albino crocodile in any of the Koll's catalogues?
Best regards,

Your search in KOLL's would last forever
- KOLL does cover 00 and H0, only.
The single, white-colored croco (that never was NYC) been 0-gauge ...

Well you sure know your stuff, John. I am looking forward to buying this set for 2009, it will be my first E94 (s), all metal, and what appears to be a very good price.
And thanks for this topic, good ongoing information.

My thoughts exactly! I'm looking forward to this set too!

Easy task, BigDaddy. No one here would put the latter into a
vetrina
in the train room ...
Fair point there Captain!

And though it never was - I'd buy an NYC Gator right on the spot.
If it wears a genuine NYC livery

Nice radio btw.

I'm looking for the owner of that horse. He's tall, blonde, he smokes a cigar, and he's a pig!

Since there never was a Gator with a black roof M's latest release made me think about ...
Only possible explanation for (although they don't mention it in the catalog):
Guess with this model M wanna resemble an
really dirty
roof,
blackened by graphite dust from the pantos' schleifers - nice touch
(they did similar weathering in the past on the dark-green
E1020 Gator's (#39222) silver roof, but then only moderately)

Gators/Crocs are not my cup of tea, so I have no idea if this is a good offer: Fundgrube Neandertal has Trix crocodiles for €250 (no decoder). If conversion is as easy as with my Big Boy from the Magnum package they could easily be made to run on Mä tracks.

What's the possibility of adding a whistle to one of the locos in the 37225 set? I guess you need a whole new decoder, which would rather spoil the price...?

Right, Kimball - such occured to me, too ... guess we wait for our Digital Gurus' decoder proposals [:p]
UHLENBROCK might have a nice solution. Don't know if #76200 plus sound modul goes with the DCM ...
However, I'll invest in new decoders & sound modules only if the Gators run nicely with the small motors.
