Hi All,
Me and my son Stefan were at 10 am at Eurospoor and we have a wonderful day !!
3 huge halls full with module layouts, diorama's, scenery stuff and
hundreds of meters tables with used trains for sale.
I have seen at least 50.000 used Marklin loco’s and wagons for sale and most for prices 20-30 % lower than the current ebay.de prices..
I think that one can only imagine the enormous size of Eurospoor if you have been there yourself.
A lot off Marklin 00 stuff which I thought was very rare, were just laying there on the tables for sale as if it was fruit !
I've seen a lot of RS790 for € 400 - € 650 and also SEW800, T790, T800, SK 800, TM800, Marklin tinplate accessories, Marklin metal construction kits, Marklin Steam engines.....
I have also seen many Central Stations 2 for only € 499, = which looked new and never used.
And hundreds of new Mobile stations for € 59 and € 79 but then also including the connection box and power supply.
I have seen many people who bought those CS2 and MS2.
I have also seen many mint looking Marklin 3070 TEE sets for € 105,00 and € 119,00 and hundreds of 1940s/1950s 340 and 350 series passenger cars for only € 20 !! I could not believe my eyes !! I think this is really cheap. You can see for yourself in the pictures.
Manufacturers (like Marklin) are not present at Eurospoor..
According to a friend who works in a MRR shop for 35 years, there was 20 years ago a famous great quarrel arose about the sale of used Marklin products on Eurospoor. The Marklin staff has sworn then never ever to be present again at Eurospoor, and other brands have followed this. I'm not 100% sure if this story is true.
What I've not seen was Faller AMS.
I have also seen many men who urgently needed deodorant or shampoo or a toothbrush, but bought trains of apparently their last money….
I've heard many languages today, English, German, Spanish, Italian, French ..... the majority of visitors came from abroad.
And I've seen many people who really bought huge amounts of MRR stuff, they walked with too many bags full of loco’s and so on, just incredible ...
It was clear that most of the traders did very good business !!
I could not spend so much money, we only bought some lovely 1950s Faller houses and a near mint 3326 NS1600 loco.
