Hi to everibody,

I have now the Trafo 60052, but I have, in the package, the connector plug only for the Mobile Station and not one for Conventional Control of Solenoid Accesories.
What is your experience, please???biggrin

Best regards[8)][8)]

Stefano

Hello Stefano,

Your 60052 Transformer is for running Trains only. To use Signal/Turnouts etc. you need a separate Transformer.

You must separate these Circuits as per Instruction from Marklin.

Hi Martin,

Yes, I know, but in the present I want to use the Trafo only in a analogic layout. My trains run now with two 6647 and one 6511. And so the new trafo non operate digitally!!

Best regards SmileSmile

Please! Tell the whole story, not the simplified Märklin nonsense!

These are the facts:

If your accessories are completely electrically separated from from your track system, you can use the same transformer to power both the Mobile Station and the accessories.

but:

If your accessories share common ground or are otherwise connected to the track system, they will need a separate transformer.

Of course, the 60052 transformer can be used to power accessories, or to power e.g. a 6021. You could cut off the plug and use the bare ends to connect to your accessories. But if you don't want to destroy the cable, you could get a matching outlet in your nearest electronics store, costs a Euro/Dollar or so. Polarity is of no importance since it is AC.

Hello Perz,

My assumption was that Stefano was running a Digital layout since he had a # 60052.biggrinbiggrin
I am well aware what can be done with the Transformer, however as seen in other posting of this Forum, it is better to be safe then sorry ( Not everyone is a Electrical Expert ).[:I][:I]

Martin,
The Märklin version of the story is, as Perz said, nonsense because they don't tell the whole story. And they omit part of the story, because they find it easier to sell you an extra transformer than to tell you how to avoid the extra expense.

Hello Friends,

It seems that everyone thinks Marklin is trying to sell extra transformers by omitting what can be done with them in addition to just using them with the Mobil Control or the Central Unit ( soon to be out ).
As I have seen in this Forum a lot of Users do not know where to get the extra Cable or the Special Plug ( to plug into the Feeder Track )which means these Users do not know how to wire a extra Cable nor how to protect there Transformers from short Circuits etc.
For the ones who do know how to wire the Transformers why would you Buy a Transformer from Marklin when you can purchase one for a lot less from a Electronic Supply Store. All that is needed is a Transformer for either 220Volt or 110Volt with a output of 16 Volt with a Fuse and possible a Inicador Light.
In North America a CLASS 2 Transformer (Class 2 means fuse protected) 110 Volt 40 VA sec. 16 Volt is available for less then U.S.$ 25.00.

When Stefano asked the first question what to do with his 60052, that indicated to me that he did not know how to wire this Tranformer for his application.

I would like to say here that I am not a Electronic Wizard nor do I think that Marklin is allways right in what they write in there Instruction however don't forget that these Trainsets are also made for Children and as such should be easy to use for everyone.
