Hallo again, The problems with routes still exist, where part of route do not switch. I have my CS1 connected to my CS2 and can control both loco’s and turnouts (points) from both CS’s. I was wondering, will the routes work properly (or at all) if I connect the S88’s to the CS1 and not the CS2 and then add the same routes I have on the CS2 to the CS1? Will anything blowup? Any comments would be appreciated. Regards Andreas K

Hi all, For those who are running routes with CS2 and experiencing problems I think here is a solution IF you have a CS1. I took a change and connected all my S88’s to my CS1 and earthed them from the CS1 (brown wire). As my CS1 is connected to my CS2 via a crossover cable all routes are triggered and work properly. It seems they also switch bit faster. Regards Andreas K |

Well done Andreas, you are a brilliant man. How many trains are you running? Pieter |

Hi all, Thanks Pieter, I did some further test runs and all OK. Besides one incident which was an error on the programming of the routes itself. (One signal that was not suppose to be in a route was accidental added and it started a train on a different route) Everything runs smoothly and all my routes are working properly as it was intended. Currently I am running 23 Loco’s where one stops and the next one starts up. There are 11 Loco’s running at any given time. This excludes the shuttle trains. I am thinking of adding another S88 to the CS2 which then only controls the shuttles. Regards Andreas K |

I am surprised that it is actuality faster with the S88 Connected to the CS1, I'm surprised that it even worked. The CS2 may be programed to look for commands from a CS1 before it poles the S88 which seams backwards. Maybe all the years it took ESU to get an s88 Bus connection for the CS1 was worth something. That is a good find Andreas, |
