Hi all,
I have a couple of questions of two Hamo loks I have. The first is a 8347 BR 44-690,orange box,has a smoke unit installed and appears to be in near-mint condition.A range of what it might be worth?
Next is BR 86-173,grey box,near-mint condition and is digital.Anyone know the M number for this and what type of decoder?

Thanks for any help,Dr D

Hi,

If the BR 86 is a HAMO, delivered digital by the factory it could be from the digital-starter-kit 2657. This included a DCC-Controler and a BR 86. It came out in 1990 and was only sold for two or three years. These locos are equipped with a 6082 DCC decoder. These decoders only work with the DCC-14 protocol.

Hi,

But 8396 never had a decoder ex-works. I only know "86 260" as the number on 3396 made from 1992.
