Hello,
can anyone tell, if it is possible to plug the new MS2 direct into the ECoS, and use it as an extra controller, in the same way as one could do with the original MS?

regards
Björn

Hi, Björn!

Plug in: Yes.
Use it: No!

Same plug, no damage done if you plug it in - it just won't work.

(Märklin 60212 is ECoS compatible hardware)
Regards
Tom

Tom:
thanks! How about a MS2 and 60113 into the "sniffer" plug? Could that be a possible hook-up?

Björn

Sniffer port should work.
I'd setup all locos on the MS2 as DCC locos (even if they are MM or mfx locos on the ECoS and in reality).

Hi, Për (Pürëllüm) and Björn!
Sorry for going OT, but which is correct: "Bjørn" or "Björn"?
Is the former Dänish and the later Swëdish? Are these different ways to write the same name depending on the available characters?
Got me cönfüsëd ...

Hello Tom.

I was wrong Wub spelling Björn's name as Bjørn.

Bjørn is the danish version, the pronouncacion is the same.

Take care, Tom, the German word "öl" is pronounced almost like the Danish "øl";
but it is not the same RollEyes BigGrin

Hi Per.

One could probably explain it this way: the German "öl" will be used in an engine, while the Danish "øl"; will be poured into a person. Wink Wink

Philip.

Let's keep it simple.
