This DT 800 i got on ebay a few years ago as a total wreck : loose, dirty, missing some parts (no critical ones though)
It had been badly repainted, i think the only original paint left was on the inside. I decided to strip all the paint from the body and let it repaint by Ritter in Germany. In the meantime i cleaned up the other parts and also ordered the spare ones that i was missing also from Ritter (including 1 matching panto).

The result runs like a train now.

Enjoy the pictures ; before - in between - after

Cool Really nice!! It is really great to see the time and effort put in to the saving and restoration of this equipment by both the owner and restoration/repair company. This DT800 will continue to provide many levels of enjoyment for years to come. Also, thanks for tipping me off to Ritter Restoration: http://www.ritter-restauratione...prID=2;usrEmail=;usrPwd=

What a great resource.

Cheers!

Wow! That's fantastic. ThumpUp

I have a question. Do Ritter also carry out work on the body shells to get such a smooth finish? The results look so much better than just a repaint. There's no sign of the scarring and pitting that you can see on the stripped shells in the "in between" photos.

Ritter only did the repaint, no other work on the body was done. There is one little bulb from the casting that still can be seen, so i know the returned body was mine.

You can also get there painted new spare parts, like full bodies or chassis. I had those for a T800, RS800 and a few others
