Marklin have made a number of versions of the Netherlands 1600/1700/1800 electric locos. At least one of them was I believe fitted with a digital chip with sound capabilities. Can anyone tell me what make of chip was fitted to these locos, was it by any chance an ESU one. My reason for asking is that I want to fit sound chips to my Marklin 2 rail locos and also my Roco 1600's. If the original chip was an ESU one then the fitting will be easy, assuming I can obtain the sound file as it isn't listed by ESU.

Forget it this locs has only a typhoon on board. And the decoder is not an esu locpilot decoder.

The only loc with a esu locsounddecoder on board is the Marklin 37540 class 55 steamengine.

In the future perhaps they can get a locsounddecoder on board.

By the way welcome on the forum
