Just a simple question I am hoping someone can clear up for me. What is the difference betweeen the 6015 and 6017 boosters?Confused

You connect the booster cable upside down (I think)...

And you have 4 DIP switches on the back...

There is 4 DIP switch in red square on right side of 6017 but 6015 do not have the DIP switch.

It adjusts the sensitivity of the shortcut detection (switches 1 and 2) and can be used to reduce the track power (switch 4).
Switch 3 is unused.

Dip switch 1: Lowering the level of low voltage identification at which the booster shuts down due to undervoltage cause by overload. When this dip switch is on the booster shuts of later so it can deliver a bit more 'peak' power.

Dip switch 2: Rise time for overload protection so booster does not shut down by very short overcurrent conditions.

Dip switch 3: not used

Dip switch 4: Lower track output voltage to about 12-14 volts.
