Dear Friends, if I were to get a trix mobile station (66920) would that be enought to control my locos? I already have a DC transformer and I plan to control 4-5 locos....

Hi Gregor,

You can control all the locos that have Selectrix or DCC decoders. I use Trix MS to control my multiprotokol decoder installed 3 rail locos too.

Yes but is the mobile station enough? What wires go into and out of the mobile station?

Hi,

For 4-5 locos without many functions, especially smoke generators, it should be enough.

Two wires from transformator comes in and two wires to tracks go out - this happens on the digital adapter. If you buy the set you'll get everything you need: transformer, digital adapter, MS, and connector track.

The one set i see on the trix shop (11122) is only for N-gauge, can it also be used for HO??

It is the Trix Mobile Station itself biggrin

Sure can be used for HO, no problems. But I'd go for a set without decoders.

Nope...!
Itemnr:11122 has lesser power out to the track, while 66920 has more power output.
It´s not the same set.
11122 is an set suited for N-scale at 12 volts.

Gents, for the item 66920, is the transformer and connector box also included (along with the mobile station) in the package?? In the trix online shop it is not clearly described. I need to get all three in a set. At the moment I am just using a cheap transformer connected directly to the line....

The set 11122 has connector box for N-scale in 12 volt livery out to rail.
It depends that N-scale is in function at 12 volts, because of motor at locomotivs.
And there is weaker transformer for that.
In HO scale there is bigger transformer and connector box for 16 volt out to rail.
If you shall drive and using HO scale, forget about set 11122!
So with 66920,you can control up to 6 locomotivs depends of motor at locomotivs.
66920 has 1,9 Amps out to rail in maximum load.
While 11122 has about 1,2 Amps in load.

Good luck!

P.S.
Trix mobil station don´t have adjusts the voltage!
That´s way two different of connector box.

But the set 11122 has the same mobile station no. 66920. And also the transformer included in this set up is 18VA. I have already ordered the 11122 kit, when it comes, I will see how it works...

Hi...!
There is no itemnr. for connectorbox, since it´s follows only in set and cannot therefore get seperat.

George,

Goofy is right, no number on digital adapter. If you'll have difficulties with the one you receive I can get you the correct one.

Hi Goofy, I got the 11122 kit it now and it works nicely with my 3 HO locos....No problem....It gives 1.9 A current. and 20 V AC. I think it can only power maximum 4 locos in HO.
