I want to implement block control for my trains. I have bought a load of 5104/5105's from Bear11 (Henk) in Belgium. I contacted Marklin technical to find out how many devices can be safely connected to the contact tracks without causing an overload. Marklin Technical Service have replied, saying that I should not use these as there is risk of damaging the solenoids. They have advised that the 'momentary' contact such as a reed contact or 5146/5147 for signals and points. Is this strictly correct. Surely, if you do not park a train, coach or truck on top of the 5104/5105, causing a constant activation, then there should not a problem. Techies, please advise. I would hate to think that I have spent a load of money on the wrong track pieces.
