Hello everyone...

I have noticed lately that there is a lack of Marklin websites for collectors here in the US. In Germany there are several websites for the vintage Marklin models like, tischbahn.de and spur-00.de, etc.

So, I have created a new one for US users to enjoy.

It is very new and I only started on it a few days ago. I hope to also build in a database of pictures of models and scans of catalogs.

The "articls" and "pictures" pages are working...the rest have yet to be worked on.

One of the main aspects that I am going to be working on is connecting all the collectors and websites all over the world. Also...to try and get them to post pictures of their collections!

To keep away from problems that I have seen in the past...I think I will remove the "Models" section where I was going to have all trains listed by model number. This has already been done and done very well in other sites. Instead I will have a "Links" / "Collectors" page with good resources for contacts, etc.

Individual Model spotlights will be done in the articles section.

For the past year, I have been developing a web-based platform tailored specifically for Märklin collectors. I’ve spent a great deal of time studying and understanding the needs of collectors in this hobby, and thanks to valuable feedback from users, the project is finally taking its final shape.




What can you do on klinnect.net?

View Rolling Stock – Browse Märklin locomotives and wagons, see production years, detailed model information, filter results by year (based on official catalog entries), or by railway company (e.g., DB, DSB, ÖBB, etc.). You can also add items directly to your personal collection or wishlist.

My Collection – Keep track of your Märklin locomotives and wagons, including detailed information, personal notes, and estimated values. You can export your collection to a PDF, update quantities, and even mark items as available for sale.

Members – Discover other collectors, sorted by collection size. You can view their location, mark favorites, and see who has favorited you. Member profiles include their collection, wishlist, recent activity, and a messaging option.

Marketplace – Explore items available for purchase directly from other members’ collections. Listings include real photos, prices, locations, and a direct “Contact Seller” button. You can also list your own items for sale.

Messages – Communicate with fellow members, exchange photos, edit or delete your own messages, or clear entire conversations.

My Profile – Customize your profile with links to your social media or YouTube channel, view your collection and wishlist statistics, check the estimated value of your collection, and explore dynamic charts about your activity. On your wishlist, you can also see which items are currently available in the marketplace.

Group – Similar to a Facebook group, you can post updates, share photos, and interact with other members by liking and commenting on their posts.

These are the main features so far, but the platform is continuously evolving with new additions planned. At the moment, we already have the complete Märklin H0 rolling stock cataloged from 1947 to 2009, and we are actively expanding.

The platform is free to use, and your data is safe and fully controlled by you.
