Little turntable for Trix C tracks

I have noted on this forum that some members are using Trix C tracks, thus I might publish this here as well.
Accesoiries for Trix C tracks are limited and other items like diamond crossing are not made (yet) for Trix C tracks.

This turntable can be made by yourself, although it need a little work.
For this little turntable you need:

— Fleischmann 6050 manual operated turntable.
— Trix 62951 adapter track (at least 4).
— Roco 42612 fishplates (for code 83/100 rails).

1) Remove the turntable connection, it is simply clicked on the turntable.
2) Remove the fishplate from the turntable connection. Fleischmann rails is code 100.
3) Roco 42612 fishplates can connect code 83 with code 100 rails. The fishplate has 2 sides, low for code 100 rails and high for code 83 rails. The side for code 83 rails has to be made a little shorter or it will not fit onto the Trix C Tracks.
4) Connect Trix 62951 with the turntable connection using the modified Roco 42612 fishplates.

5) Fit this combination onto the Fleischmann turntable.

The Fleischmann 6050 turntable comes with an engine shed. It is made of cardboard, but you might replace it by a Faller or Kibri example.
And last but not least, you can buy Fleischmann 6051 turntable connectors. With this set you can add 4 extra connections to the turntable.

Nice work. One suggestion...use a Dremel to shorten the rails to close the gap between the turntable and the C-track.

The bridge is manual operated. The 2 wires are used to feed the rails with current, or else you can't drive on or off.

Hi Marco,

Nice work. That is a nice turntable for branch-line or secondary line service areas. I have converted 2 Fleischmann regular 310 mm turntables for TRIX Express 3-rail operation, one older Model 1780 and the newer 6652 which is I believe identical to the Maerklin 7286. I may just have to buy myself a couple of 6050's!!

You could most likely motorize the turntable with an Atlas 12 Volt D.C. motor that is used to convert their manual turntable.

1 - Does the manual turning easily "lock/notch" into the exit track positions for accuracy?

2 - It needs paint/weathering... wink

This turntable is sold with a cardboard kit for a engine shed. And guess who did plundered the box for it wink ?
The quality of the cardboard is very good, as is the printing. The engine shed is simply to assemble.

I could only find 3 minor points:
1) The doors are not printed on the inside, nor is something provided to glue inside of the doors. So, when the doors are open, you are looking at plain cardboard.
2) The engine shed is quite low. My steamlocomotive does fit, but the old electric locomotive does not.
3) The windows are printed on the cardboard. You can't look through them.

I have solved the last problem, by cutting out all the windows. That are 27 on each side, 54 in total. And to be honest, it took me more time than I thought. But it is well worth the effort. I glued transparent plastic on the inside. As you can see on this picture, you can actually see what is inside the engine shed.

So now this engine shed is part of my layout biggrin !

1) Yes, it clicks nice in position. I wish Fleischmann would make this for Märklin C tracks as well.
2) Sorry, I am not so good with painting. But it certainly would look like if the turntable is daily used.
