Sorry to change the subject gents. I am still missing a Swiss Croc from my collection. As they tend to be expensive new, I have been scanning ebay and second hand shops for a cheaper older version for some time, but most that appear are very similar in price to a brand new model. I guess even old crocs are highly sought-after. The cheapest I've found tend to be 3056 models, which are plastic, and tend to go for between 180 to 250 Euro. 3356, 3656, 3756 and newer models will be between 250 and 350 Euro, which is about the same as a new one. Am I looking in the wrong places? Perhaps other members have a different experience they can share? In light of the above, I am considering asking Santa for a new 39563. I'll have to get funding approval though, as I've spent quite a bit on trains (again) this year! |

Eduardo, it looks like you've got your brown Seetal croc fixed.
Yes Lutz, actually it is a brand new one!. At the moment of shipment from Germany, the repared one was sent to another country by the mail due a problem in the delivery address, so the Marklin Service decided to send me a new one from their own inventory. Great service and responsibilty from Marklin to the customer!!!! Regards Eduardo

This space cruiser's propulsion system [xx(] may not be as hyper-sophisticated as M's MFX ... But then the wind-up clockwork runs troublefree and the box clearly reads "Made in China" |

Congrats Eduardo, very nice collection.
Congrats Steven, very jealous as mine are being held for me in a very safe enviroment in the US. I would love to see and hold them. Could you help with the "where are they made qustion" that expands a bit on the last answer given to this query?
Many thanks,
Jeremy.

This of cousre means that I am able to demonstrate my love and devotion to FD that I support on each and evry occasion any comments that she needs to go to US to shop. I mean what more can a guy do? Surely you and everyone would agree that that this is a right and proper course of action? . Dontcha think? Jeremy. |

Jeremy, definitely you are doing the correct thing. However occasionally (to earn additional Brownie Points) you should maybe make a mention, that next month we are going to that Flash restaurant for dinner and that maybe she needs a new Dress and accessories that cannot be obtained locally and only in the US. Maybe that could get an additional 3 or 4 trips. Birthdays, anniversaries, Christmas, Easter, Queens Birthday, Law conference, real estate conference. Use imagination. Sorry getting way OT. Awrightie folks, I bought my first gator a few minutes ago: an unused 3322 in white box, Eur 70.- delivered Now, what do you suggest; should I go for a full upgrade with 5 pole anchor or just add permanent magnet? Cem. |

Wow, Cem, that's a great price for an unused 3322. I've been seeing twice that for the older 3022.
It's a nice heavy loco, so the 3 pole LFCM motor will probably be smooth enough with just a Hamo magnet. You could try it like that and if not satisfied just upgrade by changing the armature and motor cover.
The 33xx series have the unusual low voltage lamps I always forget about. I always blow them after doing the conversion! Don't forget to replace them with the higher voltage (18-20V) types.

Lokshop have just emailed me to say that my 39563 is on its way at last. Yeeeaaah!!
Of course there's no way it will make it here in time for Christmas...or is there? They say miracles sometimes happen at this time of the year!

Update:- Now almost a month has gone by, and I still haven't received my Croc. So much for my Christmas present! . It is a complete mystery to me how German postal services can completely fail to find Gibraltar every time! . Oh well, at least I can console myself with the fact that they have yet to lose one of my parcels. It might be late, but it gets here in the end. |

Maybe they will send it to me instead! Is it bad form to have 3 green Crocs?
Seriously, I wouldn't mind one of these (39563) to add to my collection of 2 (39560 & 3300) I had thought about selling 3300 to pay for 39563, but then........
Hopefully yours will arrive soon, Ray.
