Well, my 37097 finally arrived on thursday. Everyone was right, it's very nice!!! I'm quite satisfied with the sounds and it smokes like crazy. Smile It doesn't go through the turnouts quite as well as the rest of my loks but if I keep the speed up it's ok. I'll be posting a clip of it on the layout section shortly. I've done some remodeling on the layout as well to share.

Nice Br64 from Troy, Br85 from Bill, and Br86 from Palle.

What a lot of great tank engines! The one I don't have is the Br64. Maybe one day soon?

Thanks Ray ... Lots of the older ones were picked up on Ebay and I am more or less near my limit now. Am running out of space as well as 'must have models' (read: addiction saturated) not already on the list. Not sure my bank manager will find the list impressive though ...

Anyway, here's the non-M collection (couldn't find all cat #'s just yet, updates coming later)

Update 15/7-2009: Two new Hobbytrade lokos added. As are the three DC models I have.
Update 29/7-2009: A new Roco loko added.

One more steamer a Marklin insider steamloc 39160. Loc has not driven very much and it drives very nice and smooth. May be a part is missing but the price 150 euro is oke.

No functions other than lights, but a beautiful runner and great looks! I can see this loco becoming one of my favourites.

Nice loc but I think I will keep it to only steamers this year.

I just got a new one today. It's not a Märklin locomotive (Should I duck and run for cover now?), but I'm really pleased with it anyway. It's the Hobbytrade DSB MT 157:

Hi Guys

Time to step out of the closet.[:I]
I have 56 loco's. 5 steamers, 27 electric and 24 diesels.
41 are Märklin, the rest are Lima, Roco, Mehano, Jeco and Heljan.
Most are Swedish and Danish but some DB, SNCB and one SBB are there too.
I thought I had picture here but realize that it's on the old computers hard-disk. I have to save this files before it's scrap.
I have to confess that some of the old loco's are shared with my brother but he is not an active modelrailroader.

Per
Era IV with focus on freight.
Testing analog, 6021 and Mobile Station now.

I like that lok, Voller! The detail is quite nice, indeed. How does it run compared to Marklin? I'm not familiar with Hobbytrade.

Here are my two newest additions. The 3106 had a 6080 decoder already installed. I'd like to upgrade it to loksound if it's possible.

Nice locos Bill. The Br78 is a nice steamer and will run beautifully with a better decoder. I don't know if there is enough room for a speaker, but if it's too difficult I would consider a lokpilot just for the improved running. You will also need to modify the motor to DC, either with a Hamo magnet or a full 5 pole conversion.

My locomotive roster total is up to 67 with this old crock (sorry, Classic biggrin) that's on it's way to me now. It's a 3034.1 with the number E41024.

UserPostedImage

I love these old E41's, and now at last I have a blue one to join my green one and my blue/cream one.

If it really is as good as it looks in the photos I'll be pleased. It only cost me 40 Euro.

I have not even seen the new model, litra MT,- but could well say a few words about other products from this danish manufacturer, that has been in the business for ten years now, by the way. To date I have bought eight (8) of their HO/AC/ESU LokSound models;- that is:- 2 NSB Di4;- 1 NSB Di 6,- and 5 different models of litra TMZ. I have had no problems with these models whatsoever;- they are impressive models in my opinion;- they have many subtle details,- and an overall impression of correctness. Their bodies are made of plastic,- but they are still quite heavy,- I believe their weight is somewhere around 500 grams. The running-caracteristics is just fine,- comparable to contemporary Märklin (mfx) models, I think,- all very smooth that is.

One more steamer.

A DB br 44 with mfx and sound. Marklin 37889 from 2005. Price 199 euro. It has only a little dent in one of its Wagner windlei sheets. You can see this on the picture. Loc drives nice.

I have two br 44 one from 1928 in grey photo finisch and one black from the early 1950.

UserPostedImage UserPostedImage

So I have 91 locs now.
49 steamers
22 elocs
20 dieseltrains

22 have a full sound decoder onboard.
Four steamers are in order.

M-track with a CS2.

Hi all,
I've been a Maerklin Operator/Collector since age 11 (1964). I am recently retired and have for some time been planning a new layout with the Maerklin
layout planning software. For those of you who have some basic knowledge of German it is quite easy to use. I took an interest in German when I started with Maerklin as a child. I still operate conventionally (analog). My 23 Loks are as follows:
steam loks: 3048 DB
3031 DB
3047 DB
3094 DB
3091 DB
3309 DB
diesel loks: 3021 DB
3072 DB
3070 NS/SBB
3075 DB
3016 DB
electric loks 3012 SNCF
3053 DB
3054 DB
3039 DB
3022 DR
3050 SBB
3155 DB
3325 SNCF

Yes Ray,
It will be using both C and M track on 2 connected levels, lots of tunnels
and fully under catenary. It will also have a 5-track main through station with
yard area connected to it. The upper level will have a 3-track small town through
station with industrial siding. The major expense for me will be the replacement
of most of the k-track 72** series signals, most of which are quite worn out. I will
replace them with the new 76*** series. Yes, they are expensive but I have 2 now
and really love the way they look and operate. Some of the well-operating 72** signals I will keep and use on the new layout. Best Regards, Peter
