Hello all. It has been a while since i was in the forum. But recently I started back in the Marklin hobby. I recently purchased
an SBB De 6/6 37521, digital. It was broken but at just over $100, i could not resist.

Once I received it, I started disassembling it, and found where the broken part was. The bracket that attaches the truck to the
main frame is broken, snapped.

From the exploded view, it looks like #35, which, if i read this correctly, is part 321 289.

I am not sure how recent this production was, but i wonder if Marklin would have a replacement. Or if there are any places
in Germany that would have such a part.

Any help is appreciated. Also, does this happen often for this particular engine?

Thank you.

Leo P

A good choice is the specialized Italian ebay trader "coccodrillo114", who is also a forum member. Here is his link to this spare part (sold out right now):

Even if sold out, it is worth contacting him.

Thank you. Right after I posted the question, i started doing some research. And indeed I found coccodrillo114. i already thought of contacting him, but have not done it yet.

I also found that Marklin has stopped manufacturing these frames.

I am in the process of looking to see how to make a repair to this frame. Maybe I'll post something if I find a solution (though not right now).

Thank you again.

Cheers

The 37521 (Seetal Crocodile) has a known issue of Zinkpest affecting the chassis. There was a repair program by Maerklin, but that stopped after a few years.
See here: https://www.marklin-user...ts/t12919-Zinkpest-again

I found this on Ebay.de: https://www.ebay.de/itm/389667975549?

Is this the part you are looking for?
There is a risk that this part comes from a model that may be affected by the Zinkpest issue. I would try to obtain more info about the provenance from the seller.

Scrolling to the bottom of the ad, there is further information saying that it is a used Märklin repair kit and that they do not ship outside of Germany.

Coccodrillo114 - who is shipping to North America - states in his add:

"This item has been reproduced from us in Italy with a new die casting mold to solve the Zinkpest problem."

To acquire that one from eBay, you would have to find a German forwarding address.
