The Steam & Clean are good products, but I believe they have nothing to do with Seuthe. I believe it's made by novadur.de? https://www.novadur.de/produkte/outdoor-und-hobby/steam-clean-dampfdestillat

The recent new smoke fluids from Märklin are the same "type" as the Steam & Clean, but probably made by different manufacturers. (as the datasheets are much the same but slightly different)

It´s not same smoke fluid.
Märklins and ESU are lesser poison of the smoke.
The chemical subject are different from Seuthe.

No criticism. But where can the information about what smoke fluid is more or less harmful (and in what ways they are more or less harmful) be found?

Google LOL

Märklin / Seuthe: https://static.maerklin....69546b92d61521539730.pdf

Steam and Clean / Novadur: https://matschke.org/pro..._Idee+Spiel_10251_DE.pdf

Esu doesn't provide a MSDS Huh

I think it would be fair to say that you can forget Goofy's statement: "Märklins and ESU are lesser poison of the smoke." LOL

Per.

Cool

...yes I checked the Novadur link already and also ESU (where nothing was shown, apart from the bottle with the label). I forgot to check Marklin/Seuthe though. I have the ESU smoke fluid and also some of the other types (Seuthe) and use them from time to time.
Thanks for the followup Smile

Next step are when EU with green activism decides to banned smoke fluid for the health sake.
No more "poison" fill up in the train room.

ESU should provide the SDS sheet for their product 51990 and publish it on the product page.

requires pictogram
H226 Flammable liquid and vapour.
H317 May cause an allergic skin reaction.
H304 May be fatal if swallowed and enters airways.
H412 Harmful to aquatic life with long lasting effects.

requires pictogram
P210 Keep away from heat, hot surfaces, sparks, open flames and other ignition sources. No smoking.
P241 Use explosion-proof [electrical/ventilating/lighting/…] equipment.
P301 IF SWALLOWED:
P310 Immediately call a POISON CENTER/doctor/…

requires pictogram
P405 Store locked up.
P501 Dispose of contents/container to...

A bit surprised that Märklin’s relatively new SDS sheet doesn’t include a UFI code for the poison center, especially when the product could be handled by kids without someone’s knowledge.

Have they started using a glass bottle for their new product?
