Hi forum specialists !

By mistake I activated the MFX discovery in my CS2 keyboard menu.
Bad surprise : all switches/turnouts have been duplicated with new names and so on after the already configured switches.

Now that I understood what it is all about with MFX, I am trying to remove all switches/turnouts etc from my CS2 keyboard and start a clean discovery.
I did it by clicking one by one on the waste basket icon and started another MFX discovery but no way to move them all to the top at address one...

Any idea welcome, hoping that this would not require a complete reset to factory settings (if possible?) ... !

Thx,

Hi André
On the CS3 you need to clean all keybord entries that were created by the CS3 command "Look for new MFX devices", select each one and delete each one.
You may have to do some cleaning on the layout (Gleisbilder) side.
You must install again each entry of the m83 in conjunction with the switch settings

By now, the 60832 (m83) should respond to the MM2 or DCC commands as there is no RESET command available on the m83

Sure there are other ways to do things but the fact the m83s are screwed under the layout and harwired does not make it convenient for registrations (sometimes by accidents)
Cheers
Jean

MFX turnouts on the layout should not be altered when seeking for new mfx items. As Jean says delete the keyboard then look for mfx items. I presume the turnouts are fitted wuth decoders.
Take care I like Marklin and will defend the worlds greatest model rail manufacturer.

Thanks a lot ! but I am using a CS2, not a CS3.
Your tips were applied but impossible to get a clean keyboard.
Now I am going to apply a factory reset of all data as soon as I find the original TGZ files ...

André, you probably have the files on your CS2 unless someone did a big clean
Here are the files present on mine
Sans titre.png
The file you need is Reset_Maerklin.tgz or Märklin.tgz
I have those files but I don't know how to get them past gmail (it thinks its malware)
Cheers

Yes John I know all the files that can be found on my old CS2, no such file exists there except index.sh and my own backups.
I unpacked all files I could download from Märklin, all update files, I even unpacked the BTRS update file for the CS3 but no such file found nowhere.

The reason is of course that someone cleaned up the backup folder, maybe it's me, I don't even remember (Alzheimer ?), but as I am used to clear unnecessary things it is possible, sorry ! :(
FYI : whenever all records have been removed from the keyboard, one by one clicking on the trash icon, I start a new MFX discovery - which is working properly - but it is never starting from the top, record number 1 !
This is the reason why I need to recover the Reset*.tgz files.

Thanks anyway !
