hello

I'm trying to design a 3 tracks parallel curve to fit my layout into may garage.

the reason why I want to stick with 24230 and not go to 24130 is to make sure that steam loco will be able to run.

the problem I face is that by using rail modeler I can't find a good option to design it.

has some of you already gone through the same issue and has any suggestions?

thanks

If the tracks have a spacing of 77 mm, you can use 24077 to pad some tracks.

You could use a mix of R2 and R3 (24230 and 24330) to reduce the number of 24077 track pieces.
R4 was made for a track spacing of 64 mm, but result may look better with a mix of R2, R3, and R4.
Regards
Tom

Yes exactly as HO Tom said. I ordered a variety of small radii and straight tracks too. I didn't want to venture into cutting C track.

is this what you're suggesting?

I can't make it even on the straights :-(

Z,
I think it will work with two 24077 on the mid and outer curves.

I think that the under is what was suggested, basically using 24077 for the spacing of the 24230 to keep everything 'kosher'.
Note that the 24611 and 24612 switches are just there to establish the 77.5mm separation between tracks.
Also, what steam locos are not able to handle the 24130 radius??

Here's an attempt using R2 only, adding 3x 077 for the centre track and 7x 077 for the outer track:

Here's an attempt using R2 and R4, adding 3x 077 to the outer track:
