Hi guys,

Please assist with this problem: I cannot start this locomotive, was able to read it with CSS3 but the loco doesn't run, no lights, but the wheels are moving.
I attached a video!

I also tested another loco and it works, wanna rule out any issues with the track.
This was an online order,I don't want to open the loco as I will return it if it doesn't move.
Let me know if I'm doing anything wrong

Apparently it is a fx decoder so should have a MM address. If you can not be bothered to learn how to use the equipment you are buying you should find another hobby.

That is what this is forum is for. People ask questions and people offer suggestions and solutions. As a result, people "learn how to use the equipment".

Hi,

Thanks for replay. I also tested on MM.... That wasnt the issue
Long story short , the loco has a lever to change how it gets electricity

I managed to make it work. But wasnt due to lack of equipment knowledge.

Thanks

Congratulations on getting the engine running. I did see the level under the locomotive, assuming that was to switch it from getting track power to overhead catenary power? Again, congratulations.

The lever is part of the loco and the loco is an equipment. Did the loco come with a manual? Your video shows you registering a loco and reading the address of a dcc decoder. Analog is much simpler.
