Wondering if anyone can advise on what could be used to safely remove some factory numbering/ logo from a loc. To then add a new decal.
In European posts I have seen mentions of DLE-90. Is there something similar in US?
A bit scared to just try rubbing acetone on my model.

Thanks,

Aleks

Welcome Aleks. Yes, acetone will ruin the paint and or plastic if not a metal model. Often by just handling a plastic model without a cloth or soft gloves wears off the script. I searched the DLE-90 ingredients, but they aren't disclosed. Could be citrus based. It isn't expensive, and both Modelbahn shope Lippe in Detmold Germany and Trukmo have it and ship to the US. If the shipping is more than the product or equal, I would order other items with it. Both sell Herpa, Wiking, Busch, vehicles, scenery, and Structure kits as well as trains, motors, decoders, etc.

Thanks for the feedback. Yeah I saw it available at Lippe, but the shipping is killing it, so will have to wait and bundle it.
After some additional research I came across Testors Easy Lift Off (ELO) as a possible alternative available in US. So might order it to try out.
