Hi!

My analog loco (br216) is pretty much stuttering when under "100"(idk how you can call it)
It stops on some places on the rail, I need to push it. any suggestions?

Either it needs cleaning and orlubrication, or is just cold.

As marklinist5999 said, plus that the brushes may need replacement.

If the brushes are in good shape clean the armature commutator with a cotton swab until the carbon is gone and you see clean copper.

Look at the explosion diagrams at 3074 and 3075. Brushes are the parts number 12 (3074) and 18 (3075). Your locomotive should match one or the other.

Are you sure it's not the tracks? Are the "some places" always the "same places"?

Also check the slider...
Make sure that it is clean and also straight and in line with the bogie not offset to one side or twisted.
Put a straight edge along the slider and make sure it is dead flat.
With the loco on it's back make sure the slider is about 2mm or a bit more above the wheel treads and that it is not higher at one end. If it needs adjustment tweak the spring strips that support it with a pair of fine nose pliers (carefully).

It could just be that the loco needs a good service. This is an easy one to work on so it's a good opportunity to learn about all the parts. It will stand you in good stead for the future.

Good luck, you'll get there.
Marklin HO using M track. Now reverted to analogue as I find it has more character and is more fun...... and I understand it!

Start with cleaning rail pukos with alcohol or gently brush very fine sandpaper over them ( don't push hard). M track?
