The 5211 is an old style decoder, it does not register itself. You first have to set the address on the decoder itself and then add the address to the article list on the CS3. The CS3 manual explains how to do that. There are also You Tube tutorials. I think that Model Train Fun has a topic on this.

Then assign each address to a switch or signal, so four items can be controlled. Connect red and brown to controller track power. Note the E port for optional external power. Ben |

I have used ,from code table;Adresse 41-44 ,switches --3--67-.on the cs3 and the decoder,I've selected 4 turnouts with addresses from 41-44 and this is MM.I dont see/meassure anything on the decoder or turnout,I meassure voltage on top of decoder rt/bn/E.So the decoder have poer.

I use an extra wire split from red port to E port as well. |

Do you have the instructions? it has a diagram showing that you must connect the E and R to get full power. |

Thanks alot, connecting rt and E made it work.As far as I can see in the manual,if you want to connect another decoder, you have to do that rt and E connection.
