An invitation was made to run European Trains on a NCE DCC system. How do you set an address on a Trix mfx lok to run on aNCE DCC system?

Excellent question. This was also asked on a digital club webinar on YouTube. Curtis Jueng and Rick Sinclair basically said that you don't. NCE is a different animal and they didn't elaborate on it. I don't know if it utilizes railcom or not. The way I would try is to program you MFX model on a CS 3 programming track after resetting the decoder and removing it from the roster and only enabling the DCC protocol. Then give it a DCC address.

Use a controller that supports DCC, but not mfx, and set the address as with any other DCC loco.

With an MS2, disable mfx and set the address using DCC. Address limit is 10239.

With a CS2/CS3, disable mfx and set the address using DCC. Address limit is 9999.

Tom
