Hi
I found a 8939 signal at a recent meet for cheap and just want to add to my developing layout for visual interest
I was hoping that I could just wire with both lights staying on.
Not prototypical I know, but don't want to go the road of having wire for full operation.
No instructions included and the information I found doesn't help.
I thought that the red and green wires could be connected together and the yellow wire used to complete the circuit.
That doesn't work with 9 volts applied.
Any help appreciated.

Can you get the red and green lights to illuminate individually?

Hi
I was able to get the lights to come on.
I used the red and green paired on the red terminal and yellow wire on the yellow terminal on the transformer.
I had previously just tried the experiment with a 9 volt battery which may have been dead.
Thanks for taking the time to respond.
Happy New Year

If you just connected the green and red wires to an ON/ON switch (something like a 3-pole, double throw switch), then connecting the switch to the transformer, you could get a lot more playability for only a little extra effort/cost.

Hi
Thanks for the additional option.
There was a time when I could walk into my local Radio Shack and pick up a switch.
Not sure if they exist as an online store.
At any rate, I'm sure that I will find one.
