I’m trying to experiment with k-tracks flex track but every time I try to connect the sections the rails slide leaving a gap between the pieces. Is there any (easy) way to prevent this or am I gonna have to go all in and solder the rails together?

Track clamps like these helped me a lot when laying K tracks, avoiding the gaps you describe:

There should be no need to solder the rails.

MJ...

Best to use a name, it's friendlier.

Are you using the K flex as long straights or making curves as well?

Thanks Jeff,
I have found that the best way to get even ends when making curves is to pre-bend the track so that it closely approximates the final shape, then trim the ends with Dremel and cut off disk. You can clamp the rail to the ties at one end before bending so that you only have to cut one end.

Roger
