43660Hi all, After quite a long time I got the above coach and it’s sisters out of their boxes and on the layout ready for the arrival of my BR 218in the ICE livery. Not sure when it will arrive though! Now with everything connected up and registered on my CS3 I turn the lights on. All of the coaches have grey interiors except the 43660 which is a cream colour. Should this be cream or should it be grey? Could someone else have a look at theirs, please? If it should be grey does anyone know what shade of grey Markin uses?n The problem with the cream is that with the lights on the interior is very bright compared to the other coaches. Many thanks Adrian

It's a second class coach. I have the cab control coach and a second class coach in the newer length to match yours. Both interiors are cream. I have the older shorter start up series and the second class coach is blue inside. The older first class coach is dark gray inside.

I did not know that Marklin produced the interior of coaches as the original. From what I see it is cheap plastic of whatever colour they have at that time. I repaint the inside with some detail ie the floor is not the same colur as the seats etc. I had an ESU coach which was slightly better regarding the interior but the high cost is not worth buying. |
Take care I like Marklin and will defend the worlds greatest model rail manufacturer. |

The DB rolling stock photo database is a good source. Just search for the coach classification and type and Google tells the search result.

Thanks very much everybody. I have another Marklin IC coach on its way so I will be interested to see what colours that has. In the meantime out with the paint brushes!
Regards Adrian
