It wouldn´t show yellow alone. It would be yellow+green, meaning "Proceed with caution" or go slowly ahead.
Best regards

Depends on the type of signal. The Ks series can show yellow alone. The Märklin H0 signals are from other series.

Is it a Märklin signal? Which ref. number?
Maybe it cannot show green/yellow.

Some signals only have two states (red and green), some have three or more states including yellow/green.

Yellow means procede with caution with a green signal also. They won't be lit with an all red signal. Red with white means switching manuever allowed, and can be lit along with a yellow/green distant signal. The newest digital signals from Marklin have matching decoders that toggle them.

On your model railroad, it depends on the brand and type of signal you have. If it’s e.g. a signal with one ”plus” cable, and additional cables for ”red”, ”green” and ”yellow”, you could solve this using two switches: One for switching between ”red” and ”green”, and one for switching between ”yellow” and ”nothing”. If you’re digital, you may use two addresses on a k84 or m84 decoder, or a specific signal decoder, instead.

When running digital under a PC software like TrainController, the software controls both the trains and the three aspects of the signal - ”red”, ”green” and ”green/yellow” - within defined rules.

I have signals (on switchyards) that are wired to show only two aspects, ”red” and ”green/yellow”, i.e. they require only one digital address.
