Hello All,

I have had very good success with the building of my new Marklin layout until now. The 74681 turntable is gone on the "fritz". When power is applied, it just makes a loud buzzing noise and this is not a sound feature :-) The other sound functions work properly. It is not recognized the CS3+. Will not rotate and has lost it 30 positions in the CS3+.

I cannot reinitialize it. Very frustrating.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. BTW, this did happen when I had to restore the CS3+ settings from a back-up file when I accidentally deleted my new track plan.

Thanks!

Probably you already done this: remove the turntable from the CS3+ and try to add it again.

Thank you Miguel. Great suggestion. I did try it, but something I believe is wrong with the decoder. The CS3+ will simply not recognize the turntable.

Spoke with the US Marklin Digital Support Team, great guys. We all believe that there is an addressing issue between the CS3+ and the turntable. The software "handshake" is still established with the turntable by the CS3+. I am going to do some purging and reseting of the configuration files = I am going to really mess it LOL. All is not lost, it will work.

Bigger issue, took apart the turntable = just removed the black base cover. This revealed that the motor is working along with the indexed/toothed black turning wheel. Unfortunately, it appears that the locking mechanism is not releasing the turntable...off to Marklin for repair :-(
