Hi all,
I have a couple of old 4081 Silverfish carriages and would like to know how the lighting works as l want to transfer lighting from a worn carriage to a better example that lacks lighting. One has a wheel set with rubber tyres and a small “plunger” - what does this do? I assume it changes tail lighting from white to red.

Any hints on how to get this working or a diagram would be much appreciated. At this stage I can not get the lights to illuminate but have not tested the bulbs.

Thanks, Maurice.

The 4081 is a coach with pilot compartment, so the contraption you mention is likely to change the lights depending on the direction the coach is moving.
