Part of the new Mission Impossible 7 is being recorded in Norway and some scenes include the Orient express.

Some Orient express wagons were pulled to the location (Åndalsnes), using an old Nohab Di3 (NSB)

The wagons are not real Orient express wagons, but repainted Norwegian B3 series wagons. (although B3 wagons were used in the Swedish orient express.)

an English article: https://norwaytoday.info...-festival-on-the-ground/

for the production, thy have shipped a BR Standard Class 7 locomotive over from England.

The film crew inspect a filming location "Kylling bru" (aka Chicken bridge)

Thanks for posting these. The Nohab pulling the Wagons Lits makes an interesting combination, which is now prototypical!

here is a short video of the two Nohab's pulling the trainset together.

As for the British class 7 locomotive, it appears to be a Dummy made especially for the movie production. The pseudo Britannia is unpowered but with moving parts,, and rumours claims that it has a diesel generator in the tender to power the smoke generators. The locomotive is camouflaged as a French locomotive with the name Le General Rive-Reine and numbering 462.09 MO (Not French). The name Le General Rive-Reine could be a reference to the old train classic "The Train" from 1964, and the train crash at the fictional village Rive-Reine. There is an artile about the locomotive in the last Steam Railway magasine

Looks like the movie really is becoming a "Mission Impossible" ...

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news...ts-stuck-low-bridge.html

A coach being transported to the film set hit a low bridge. I hate to think what the repair bill will be for this.

it's probably the same coach that they wrecked in the quarry....

I believe it's an old NSB BF14, (passenger coach with a freight compartment). They were retired from traffic in 2013, in Norway. Some BF14 were also sold to Sweden and used by "Blå Tåget" (blue train), but BF14 were not included in the Marklin set 43234

It's interesting to see Norwegian coaches on British rails since the Norwegian loading gauge generally is larger than the UK. Unless they faked it, the North Yorkshire Moors Railway can handle the coaches used, as they are a bit "slim". (3,1m wide and 4,08m high). (Class 66 is 2,64m wide and 3,9m high).

Ah, OK, that would explain the strange damage to it, and partly why it looks like it has a rubber band around it to hold the bits together.
